Tsum Valley

Overview of Tsum Valley Nepal

Explore Nepal's remote Tsum Valley, a hidden gem found east of Manaslu. Here, vibrant local culture thrives in the middle of amazing Himalayan landscapes.

In Tsum Valley, you'll see colourful prayer flags, ancient monasteries, and mani walls with etched prayers. Daily life here follows Tibetan Buddhist traditions. For instance, Mu Gompa, the largest monastery in the valley, stands at an altitude of 3361 meters. Because it's so high up, it offers stunning 360-degree views of the snow-capped Himalayas.

Also, the name 'Tsum' comes from the Tibetan word 'Tsombo', meaning vivid.

Tsum Valley shows two different landscapes. You'll find lush jungles and terraced fields reaching up steep cliffs. Meanwhile, snow-capped mountains surround dramatic valleys below.

First, the trail weaves through thick alpine woods. It then opens up to wide grasslands and striking mountains. The grand Manaslu welcomes trekkers as they trek through the landscape. Ganesh Himal and Annapurna II make the view even more wonderful.

All together, the landscape and the authentic culture offer a serene escape in the middle of the Himalayas.
